Chaminade College Preparatory seeks a dynamic, innovative, and engaging SOCIAL SCIENCES TEACHER specializing in History with great classroom management skills for our high school campus (grades 9-12) in West Hills, California. This is a full-time position.
The Successful Candidate
- Has experience teaching both College Prep. History and AP History in High School and will have delivered lessons that build students' understanding and application of historical thinking skills.
- Has experience of developing students' ability to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize historical concepts and sources.
- Has proven experience of teaching contemporary skills that allow students to flourish in a diverse range of academic, professional, and cultural contexts.
- Knows how to apply the principles of backward design and implement lessons that enable all students to succeed and reach their full potential.

Salary and Benefits
This is a salaried / exempt from overtime position. Chaminade faculty are paid on a salary schedule based on degrees and years of prior teaching experience. The full-time salary at hire is expected to be $60,789 to $91,521 annually. Part-time positions are prorated accordingly.
