Champ Internet is a full service online marketing agency, specializing in web design and development, SEO, and brand strategy to directly drive traffic and enhance conversions. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Marketing Communications Coordinator to join our growing digital marketing agency. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about marketing, eager to learn new digital marketing skills and contribute to the success of our clients. The Marketing Communications Coordinator position will be responsible for supporting the Marketing Services team by creating social media content, developing email & sms marketing campaigns, and researching basic seo best practices. The Marketing Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Account Manager and Account Strategist on assigned client accounts. Marketing Communications Coordinator position will work on client accounts in industries including cannabis, retail, food & beverage and hospitality, under the direction of our SVP of Growth Marketing.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in creating original content (both written and visual), identifying trends, planning digital campaigns, managing and scheduling social media posts, and will be able to develop content in a fast-paced, multi-client environment without compromising quality. This is a full-time role within our Marketing Communications team.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Support:

  • Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content across various social media platforms, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and objectives.
  • Monitor and respond to audience interactions, comments, and messages.
  • Implement social media campaigns, tracking and analyzing performance metrics.

Email & SMS Marketing Support:

  • Assist in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns, including drafting compelling content, working with the creative team to design templates, and segmenting target audiences.
  • Support our Strategists with the management of email lists, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor email campaign performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with our Strategists & Account Managers to create SMS campaigns that align with overall client marketing strategies.
  • Support our Strategists with the management of SMS subscriber lists, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Track and report on SMS campaign performance, optimizing for engagement and conversion.

SEO Support:

  • Work closely with the SEO Strategists to implement on-page and off-page optimization strategies.
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for improved search engine rankings.
  • Support SEO Strategists with monitoring and reporting on website analytics, providing insights for SEO improvements.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience as a digital marketer. (Agency experience is a plus!)
  • Experience with social tools and platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, and Linkedin.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects without missing a beat, and a willingness to be flexible.
  • Has a passion for social media and digital marketing with an eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to take feedback and amend content based on feedback from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Has a proven track record of growing social media accounts and followings.
  • Proficient in G-Suite (Google Doc, Sheets, etc.)

Nice to Have:

  • Marketing experience in retail and/or cannabis and/or food/beverage industries are a plus.
  • Experience leveraging a social media management/scheduling tool like Sprout Social or similar.
  • Content creation software knowledge is a major plus – photography, videography, and experience with prominent creative tools like Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, Premiere, Rush, After Effects, etc.
  • Experience with CRM/email marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Hubspot, AlpineIQ, Constant Contact and Klaviyo.
  • Able to provide a web portfolio with recent work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms such as social media schedulers, email marketing software, and SEO analytics tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Analytical skills to track and interpret marketing performance metrics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing.
