Champagne Metals is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring materials are moved efficiently and effectively throughout our supply chain. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, track, and update shipment statuses to ensure on-time deliveries
- Develop, analyze, and manage logistics strategies and plans
- Provide accurate freight rate quotes to internal departments, including Sales and Supply Chain
- Coordinate and assist with order picking and material handling
- Communicate with common carriers for both inbound and outbound shipments
- Create and distribute loading lists and pick tickets for warehouse and shipping teams
- Negotiate freight pricing with transportation vendors to optimize costs
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with vendors and customers
- Ensure all shipping practices meet regulatory requirements at the local, state, federal, and international levels
- Schedule and oversee maintenance for trucks and trailers
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Critical thinking and quick problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of teamwork
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
- General understanding of supply chain operations and logistics challenges
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping, or related field preferred
