SUMMARY
The Sports Site Worker is responsible for the supervision of assigned district sports leagues, programs, and sports rentals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to effectively communicate with the public
- Have knowledge of sports and scorekeeping practices
- Available to work nights and weekends
- Positive "can-do" team attitude
SUPERVISOR
The Sports Site Worker reports to the Sports Manager and Sports Site Manager.
TRAINING CAN BE OBTAINED THROUGH THE CHAMPAIGN PARK DISTRICT
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification through American Heart Association or accredited agency
- Bloodborne pathogen training
- Facility training
- Concussion training through the Center for Disease Control
CLASSIFICATION
- Non Exempt, hourly
- Part-time or seasonal position
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with set up of game equipment and return to storage at end of the night
- Assist with checking equipment prior to all games
- Follow all Champaign Park District safety policies and perform all work in a manner that ensures the safety of the public, fellow employees, and him/herself
- Maintain a safe recreational environment
- Working gate/admissions as needed
- Assist with completing accident, incident, and other reports as necessary and submit to Sports Manager, same day
- Enforce Park District policies and procedures
- Clean facility, including restrooms, during shift
- Check all equipment and supplies and report necessary repairs to Sports Manager
- Must wear a Champaign Park District shirt during working hours
- Other duties as assigned

Must be able to respond to problem situations in a mature manner and within the policies and procedures of the Champaign Park District
PHYSIOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS
- May need to respond quickly and accurately
- Must be able to be physically active to administer CPR and First Aid as necessary
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS

- Must be able to understand oral and written communication
- Must be able to work well with people, resolve problems fairly and with judgment in keeping with the mission of the district
- The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
- Must be safety conscious at all times
