Custodial Worker

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of building by performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, dusting surfaces, and managing cleaning supplies, ensuring the building is presentable and hygienic for occupants at all times; this role will also report repairs as needed to the Operations Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Floor Care: Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, various types of flooring (tile, linoleum).
• Restroom Cleaning: Disinfecting toilets, sinks, stalls, mirrors, and replenishing supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Trash Removal: Regularly emptying trash cans and recycling bins throughout the building.
• Dusting: Cleaning dust from desks, shelves, furniture, and other surfaces.
• Window Cleaning: Cleaning interior windows and doors as needed.
• Cleaning Equipment Operation: Properly using and maintaining cleaning equipment
• Chemical Handling: Safely using and storing cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions.
• Inventory Management: Monitoring cleaning supply levels and requesting replacements when necessary.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the building.
• Reliability and Punctuality: Consistently arriving on time and completing tasks according to schedule.
• Basic Cleaning Knowledge: Understanding of proper cleaning techniques for different surfaces and materials.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
