Responsibilities:
- Confer with the Supervisor and/or Team Leader to determine production runs and mixing or packaging requirements.
- Perform daily inventory of dry and fresh ingredients and record levels accurately.
- Unload trucks, receiving, and inventory transactions.
- Operate heavy machinery, including grinding equipment for fresh meats and automated/manual packaging equipment.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with production department staff.
- Participate in annual physical inventory.
- Maintain a neat and organized work area according to corporate policies and safety regulations.
- Perform other work assignments as requested or required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent military experience, or college degree.
- 2-3 years' experience operating food processing machinery is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude, tools, and equipment knowledge, including ability to complete paperwork accurately.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and interpersonal skills for independent and team-based work.
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Willing to work any shift as necessary.
- Willing to work overtime as necessary or required.
