What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reading Specialist/Teacher position at Champions Christian Academy?
We are seeking an accomplished and energetic Reading Specialist to lead our school-wide reading program. We are seeking someone who is called by God, who loves children, and is extremely passionate about reading education.
Essential Requirements:
- Holds the Reading Endorsement by FDOE
- Uber passionate about reading education
- Committed to structured literacy and phonics
- Has a good testimony as a mature Christian believer
Minimum Requirements:
- Must live or will relocate within 25 minutes of the school
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. university or college
- At least 5 years of proven experience with teaching reading
- 3 or more recent work references, including immediate supervisor
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently working as a reading educator
- Able to challenge superior and gifted students
- Able to teach students with mild learning disabilities (e.g. ADHD)
