The Server is responsible for taking orders, answering questions about the menu and food, taking payment, and helping with guest service.
\n- Set up tables before service with appropriate utensils and napkins
- Greet guests and present menus
- Knowledge of the menu and ability to recommend appetizers, meals, desserts and beverages
- Ensure patrons have all of the appropriate tableware they need to enjoy their meal
- Deliver food orders to guests quickly and accurately
- Uphold sanitation and food safety principles
- Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash
- Check in with guests to ensure their experience is satisfactory
- Relay reports of guest satisfaction or issues to management and relevant parties
- Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff
- Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all other guest service guidelines
- Other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prior experience in restaurant or hotel preferred
- Food Handler’s Certification
- TABC Certification
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holiday
- Ability to address issues in a professional manner through effective interpersonal communication
- Ability to adhere to all company policies and the code of conduct
- Exemplary time and resource management including good attendance
- Ability to maintain peak performance during high stress situations
