Child Watch Coordinator
Positive Parenting Partnership Program (P3)
Position Summary:
This multi-duty position will plan and coordinate childwatch for structured play for children of a variety of ages while parents are participating in parenting group activities. This position will design all workshop, seminar and special event flyers for P3 , other marketing materials and will also act as an assistant to P3( Positive Parenting Partnership) staff during the planning and delivery of P3 events. Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Plans and delivers short term structured play to children, which are offered to parents attending P3 parenting classes at locations throughout the P3 service area.
- Provides and participates in quality structured play services and age appropriate activities for children of a variety of ages which include physical, emotional, social, intellectual and creative development for P3 child watch groups.
- Coordinates developmental screenings to children attending P3 structured play.
- Monitors and maintains inventory of supplies and materials needed for structured play groups.
- Tracks structured play requests for groups and arranges staffing as needed
- Coordinate and/or design activities for children during special events, outreach events and seminars where children are present.
- Assist with the distribution of marketing and advertising materials.
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Abilities: Ability to lift infants and toddlers weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds. Ability to sit on the floor, bend at the waist, kneel and/or stoop 75% of the time. Stand, walk, move quickly, and have full range of hands and fingers. Vision abilities: be able to see at close and far away distances to determine depth and proximity ad well as good peripheral vision. Hear within normal range. Ability to sit and/or stand for an extended period. Ability to carry and lift 20lb marketing kit and various promotional materials.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Child care experience with infants and young children.
- CPR and First Aid certified.
- Ability to use Publisher, Adobe Spark and other design software.
- Superior verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly.
- Good interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and customer service focused
- Professional, self-directed, punctual, good follow through on projects and documentation.
- Must be sensitive to the culturally diverse population Champions for Children and P3 serves.
- Must successfully complete and pass a level 2 background and drug screening
