US Synthetic, a ChampionX company, has an immediate need for a Jr. Desktop Administrator located in Orem, UT. The Jr. Desktop Administrator will assist in keeping computer systems running smoothly, will work with other Infrastructure members of the team to install and maintain software, hardware, and other digital tools. They will be responsible for monitoring the performance of workstations and virtual desktops. This includes ensuring that all hardware is functioning properly, identifying any potential security threats, and resolving issues that arise as quickly as possible.

What You Will Do:
Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Experience with endpoint management
Experience in creating and deploying workstation operating system images
Familiarity with various operating systems
Basic/Intermediate knowledge of patch management and software distribution
Basic/Intermediate knowledge of network troubleshooting, ethernet and IP configuration
Proficiency in Microsoft support tools, such as DNS, storage, and networking
General knowledge of system security
Administer endpoint management solution
Administer and maintain workstation patching
Administer and maintain printers and print server
Resolve workstation vulnerabilities detected in security scans
Monitor system and network performance
Assist with Desktop Support/Tier 3
Assist in managing virtual desktop infrastructure
Assist with other IT Infrastructure tasks and projects
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED is required
Immigration sponsorship not available for this role
2 years proven experience in a Jr. System Administrator or Desktop Engineering role
Physical Demands:
Stand for prolonged periods of time up to 12 hours
Lifting, kneeling, squatting and twisting
Occasionally lift/ move up to 50 lbs.
Speaking/active listening
Use of PPE where required
Preferred Qualifications:
Actively working towards professional certifications such as the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA)
Must be an excellent troubleshooter
Willing to help with projects that may seem out of scope for the job
Ability to manage time, prioritize projects and multi-task effectively
Must be able to use a ladder, carry 50 lbs,
