GENERAL SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for the repair, PM, QA, installation, modification and technical advice for all Radiologic, Laboratory, MRI, Ultrasound equipment, as well as other clinical and non-clinical equipment as assigned by the Manager of Clinical Engineering. This position is also responsible for implementation and maintaining the Medical Equipment Management Plan in accordance with JCAHO requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Skills Required :
1.Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related degree required.
2.Must possess valid New York State driver's license and be insurable.
3.5 years experience as a BMET, or 5 years prior radiology-related experience required.
4.Strong troubleshooting and electronic skills required.
5.Strong organizational and communication skills required.
As applicable, the individual has training / competency in attending to the special needs and / or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
This is a bargaining union position.
Salary : $48 - $70
