0.20 FTE Literacy Learning Facilitator (One Year)
CVSD is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and approachable Literacy Learning Facilitator who will support a cohesive implementation of literacy instructional practices across the district.
This dynamic position includes:
- Working with teaching teams and administrators across the K-8 system.
- Analysis of student data and facilitation of data teams.
- Continuously evaluating curriculum and instructional practices to ensure they are research-based and aligned with district standards.
- Partnering with intervention teams to ensure a unified approach between universal literacy instruction and targeted interventions.
- Analyzing student performance data & student work to track progress towards strong outcomes for all students, determining trends in performance data and identifying action steps to address needs.
- Supporting teachers in using data to drive instruction, ensuring that strategies are tailored to student needs.
- Coordinating, overseeing, and supporting the administration of literacy assessments, including benchmark, formative, and summative assessments.
- Providing recommendations for instructional shifts based on assessment results and classroom observations.
- Curating and managing literacy resources, including instructional materials, digital tools, and professional development content.
- Supporting the selection and implementation of literacy materials, programs, and educational technology that align with district priorities.
- Managing literacy-related budgets, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- A Master’s degree in education and/or teaching endorsement in Elementary Education (K-6), or content specific Middle Grades (5-9).
- Experience providing instructional coaching as well as teaching in classrooms - planning, implementing, and improving instruction for all students.
- Deep knowledge of the purpose and process of a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Framework.
- Extensive understanding of Proficiency-Based Learning pedagogy and Universal Design for Learning instructional planning model.
- Experience engaging teachers and teams in instructional practices across all curricular areas.
- Experience providing engaging and differentiated professional development, facilitating data dives, and providing coaching for teaching teams
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and a flexible approach to work
- Strong organization and planning skills (ie co-developing master schedules, preparing relevant & purposeful professional development, data collection, data analysis, etc.)
