The Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Network (https : / / www.czbiohub.org / ) is a group of nonprofit research institutes that bring together scientists, engineers, and physicians with the goal of pursuing grand scientific challenges on 10- to 15-year time horizons. The CZ Biohub Network focuses on understanding underlying mechanisms of disease and developing new technologies that will lead to actionable diagnostics and effective therapies.

The Opportunity

Each of the research entities is a separate limited liability company and they are subsidiaries that are wholly owned by the parent company, Chan Zuckerberg Biohub, Inc.

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join the parent company Finance team in a newly created role reporting to the CZ Biohub Network Controller. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general day-to-day accounting and operations processes, including vouchering of invoices (PO and non PO backed), assisting with the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, and invoicing third-parties. The Staff Accountant must have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to investigate and troubleshoot discrepancies, as well as communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

Compensation

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $92,000.00 - $126,500.00. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. Actual placement in range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process.
