Chance Rides, LLC is a leading manufacturer of amusement ride products with over 60 years of experience. Based in Wichita, KS, we create a wide range of attractions including roller coasters, carousels, observation wheels, miniature trains, and people movers that delight customers all around the world.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to effectively strategize a plan, direct, execute, and monitor projects while supporting the team’s success. The Project Coordinator will ensure adherence to set timelines and budgets and frequently report on project progress. Organized, experienced candidates with strong interpersonal skills are encouraged to apply.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Assist project manager(s) in project management functions and processes; support Engineering Manager(s) with open item tracking, owners, and deadlines
- Prepare, organize, and distribute all necessary project materials at kick-off and throughout projects
- Facilitate, develop, execute, and monitor project plans them from inception to completion in a collaborative team environment. Projects plans can be portions of a larger project or a complete project.
- Attend required or requested project meetings, turning important notes into rolling action item lists (RAIL) assigning dates and owners.
- Lead, own, and assist customers in defining final product selections, creative intent, and color schemes by required dates
- Create and manage task tracking methods to ensure customer and project needs are met
- Communicate pertinent information between management and staff including project metrics
- Advise staff on adherence to project schedule and recommend solutions for improvement or recovery
- Collaborate on project presentations
- Analyze project data and generate customer facing progress reports
- Foster positive and productive client relationships via email, conversation, and visits
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree required
- 2 years experience as a project coordinator or comparable role
- Strong leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Extremely organized and focused
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to stay motivated
- Propensity for multi-tasking
- Deadline driven
