As a Payroll Coordinator, your eye for detail and passion for accuracy will make a real impact! In this role, you'll ensure timely and precise payroll processing, maintain compliance, manage payroll records, and support audits and reporting activities. Serving as a trusted resource for employee inquiries, you'll provide guidance with clarity and care. This role collaborates closely with the HR and Benefits teams to support special projects, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail and professional discretion. ‖ Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining accurate payroll records, including employee hours, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments.
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, garnishments, and other related matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Investigating and reconciling payroll-related discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborating with HR to ensure accurate processing of payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and pay adjustments.
  • Assisting in preparing payroll-related reports, audits, and special projects as needed.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and handling sensitive payroll information with discretion and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Monitoring and responding to HR-related voicemail and email inquiries to provide timely support and resolution.
  • Performing other payroll and/or HR-related duties and administrative tasks as assigned to support overall department operations.

‖ Qualification Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with passage of basic skills test.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or a closely related field of study preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a payroll administration function with knowledge in multi-state payroll processing, including California preferred.
  • Prior experience and/or highly knowledgeable in program management and working with databases/spreadsheets.
  • Advanced oral and written communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
  • Highly skilled in building relationships and interacting effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborative team player who demonstrates a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and new initiatives.
  • Well-versed in the use of relevant technology including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment.
  • Prior experience working with UKG Pro human resources software strongly preferred.
