Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Construction Manager located in Florence, SC. The Construction Manager will be responsible for supervising construction projects, budgeting, ensuring construction safety, managing project control, and overseeing the overall construction process.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and health of Chandler employees and contractors on job site.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to determine project needs and address issues in a timely manner to keep the project on plan.
- Along with that the Operations Manager will set performance goals and deadlines.
- Plan and execute the construction processes to ensure projects are on time and on budget.
- Supervise Chandler construction team and provide constructive feedback and ensure appropriate accountability when performance expectations are not met.
- Monitor and report on project progress and conduct post action reviews with sub-contractors as necessary.
- Plan inspections and work with Project Managers to obtain construction permits from local authorities.
- Ensure established quality guidelines are understood and followed.
- Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance on construction equipment.
- Along with the Supply Leader keep track of material stock and orders for upcoming build plans.
- Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
- Ensure QC inspections are complete and on-time per the move in schedules.
Requirements and skills
- Previous experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
- In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Docs.
- Demonstrated effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lead, develop, and inspire teamwork and accountability.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field.
- Demonstrated project management skills for commercial and residential buildings.
- Ability to be on job site and ensure continuous process alignment and improvements as required and necessary to keep agreed upon project timelines.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on conflict avoidance and resolution.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
