Role Objective

We’re seeking an East Coast Impact Program Manager to lead the expansion of our workforce development model in Charlotte and New York City. You will oversee impact operations in both cities, ensuring that individuals experiencing homelessness or barriers to work can transition into stable employment and independence.

Trainee Recruitment and Support

  • Evaluate and recruit suitable trainees through collaboration with referral partners.
  • Coordinate and deliver essential workshops, such as job readiness, barista training, and professional communication skills.
  • Provide individualized support to trainees facing challenges, leveraging external resources as needed.

Program Delivery

  • Lead the onboarding and training journey for trainees, from intensive 2–4 week sessions to a 6-month program timeline.
  • Collaborate with trainers, volunteers, and team members to ensure the successful delivery of program components.
  • Monitor trainee progress and troubleshoot barriers to success.

Employment and Retention

  • Identify and secure job placements, internships, or paid work experiences for program graduates.
  • Partner with employers to support trainee retention through education and resources.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Mission-Driven: Passionate about working with marginalized populations and driving social change.
  • Relationship Builder: Proven ability to develop partnerships with referral organizations, community groups, and employers.
  • Organized and Adaptable: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong project management skills.
  • Empathetic and Resourceful: Experience providing tailored support to individuals with complex needs.
  • Training Expertise: Knowledge of job skills training and placement for nontraditional populations is highly valued.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset and positive attitude when engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000-80,000 annually for full time role.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time employees.
  • Paid Time Off: Generous unlimited PTO policy.
  • Flexibility: Full-time or part-time options, depending on location and candidate fit.

Location

This role requires on-the-ground presence in both New York City and Charlotte. We are open to structuring this as either:

  • A full-time position with travel between the two cities.
  • Two part-time roles, one based in each city.
