Role Objective
We’re seeking an East Coast Impact Program Manager to lead the expansion of our workforce development model in Charlotte and New York City. You will oversee impact operations in both cities, ensuring that individuals experiencing homelessness or barriers to work can transition into stable employment and independence.
This role offers a unique opportunity to build relationships, support trainee journeys, and drive meaningful change on a regional scale.
Responsibilities
Partnership Development
- Build and maintain relationships with referral partners, including charities and local government agencies, to source trainees.
- Advocate for the Change Please mission and cultivate a network of employers committed to hiring program graduates.
Trainee Recruitment and Support
- Evaluate and recruit suitable trainees through collaboration with referral partners.
- Coordinate and deliver essential workshops, such as job readiness, barista training, and professional communication skills.
- Provide individualized support to trainees facing challenges, leveraging external resources as needed.
Program Delivery
- Lead the onboarding and training journey for trainees, from intensive 2–4 week sessions to a 6-month program timeline.
- Collaborate with trainers, volunteers, and team members to ensure the successful delivery of program components.
- Monitor trainee progress and troubleshoot barriers to success.
Employment and Retention
- Identify and secure job placements, internships, or paid work experiences for program graduates.
- Partner with employers to support trainee retention through education and resources.

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $75,000-80,000 annually for full time role.

Location
This role requires on-the-ground presence in both New York City and Charlotte. We are open to structuring this as either:
- A full-time position with travel between the two cities.
- Two part-time roles, one based in each city.
