This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently while ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction.
Duties
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of time and resources.
- Manage answering phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with medical coding standards.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, assisting with clerical tasks as needed.
- Provide medical administrative support by coordinating communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Utilize effective phone etiquette to address patient concerns and inquiries promptly.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with patients and staff.
- Experience in a behavior health and/or medical environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus.
- Proficient in clerical duties, including documentation review and administrative support tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple schedules effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly.
