Tasks
Assist mechanics as needed
Parts and customer pick up and drop off, errands runs.
Identify leads and work with the supervisor to obtain the scope of work for new projects
Provide customers with the job and parts quotes in a timely manner, update quotes promptly if needed
Assist customers in understanding their quotes, repair orders, and work progress. Provide project progress updates to customers.
Act as a liaison between manufacturers, vendors, customers, and mechanics
Accept customer deposits and issue refunds as needed
Track the project progress via shop software and ensure that the project is queued appropriately
Collaborate with coworkers to ensure projects or repairs are completed on time
Check vehicles in as they arrive, obtain a condition survey, and update systems workflows
Accurately track inventory via management software
Shipping and Receiving, loading, and unloading of parts as necessary
Match and log purchase orders and invoices or payments for each pick-up and delivery
Keep all shop areas, including parts storage, safe, clean, and organized; wipe down surfaces as needed, including lifts and equipment; take out trash; sweep, mop, and organize.
Keep fire extinguishers, med kits, and safety equipment in working order and easy to access.
Ensure walkways and exit routes are clear.
Maintain an accurate log of daily deliveries, pick-ups, and returned parts
Manage inventory and reorder parts as needed or as requested by the supervisor
Collaborate with supervisors to establish and maintain a shop tool-tracking system
Pick up and deliver parts to shop, customers, wholesale accounts, and vendors
Ensure returned parts are refunded
Check with the supervisor before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries
Assist other shop staff with projects on an as-needed basis
Other duties as assigned
General Requirements :
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Must be able to do basic math, read and write, and have basic computer skills
Must be courteous and professional to customers and co-workers
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Must be able to follow general safety regulations
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and work in all weather conditions
Must comply with the employee guidebook to maintain a safe and professional appearance
