Horseback Riding - Instructor 2:
Position Overview:
Needed Tuesday and Thursday morning 9am-12pm
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Horseback Riding Instructor with expertise in Western riding styles. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of horsemanship, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering a positive and safe learning environment for riders of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Specific responsibilities include working with kids of different neuro disabilities, hand-walking the horse while the kids ride, kids have an aid present as well.
2. General responsibilities include leading, grooming, tacking horse’s western, basic horse care, feeding horses grain as needed.
- Instructional Duties:
- Provide engaging and comprehensive horseback riding lessons in Western disciplines.
- Assess the skill levels of riders and tailor lesson plans to meet individual and group needs.
- Instruct riders on proper riding techniques, horse care, grooming, and tack maintenance.
- Safety and Supervision:
- Enforce safety guidelines and protocols during all riding activities.
- Maintain a vigilant presence to ensure the safety and well-being of riders, staff, and horses.
- Horse Care and Management:
- Oversee the grooming, tacking, and untacking of horses before and after lessons.
- Collaborate with stable staff to ensure the health and welfare of lesson horses.
- Customer Relations:
- Communicate effectively with riders and their families regarding lesson schedules, progress, and any necessary information.
- Address inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to enhance the overall riding experience.
- Lesson Planning and Documentation:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the goals and objectives of the riding program.
- Maintain accurate records of rider progress and communicate feedback to riders and their families.
Qualifications:
- General experience as a Horseback Riding Instructor in Western disciplines.
- Certification from a recognized equestrian association, general or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with riders of various ages and skill levels.
- Knowledge of horse care, behavior, and training techniques.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Working Conditions: This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Salary : $18 - $22
