CTE Drone Teacher (Part-Time)

TITLE:                                    CTE - Drone Teacher (Part-time)
 
QUALIFICATIONS:                 FAA 107 License

SALARY:                                NC Teacher Salary 18% supplement 

DETAILS:                               Teaching Drone Technology Fundementals (1st semester) and Drone Technology 1 (2nd semester) 
                                                
REPORTS TO:                       The school principal or his/her designee
 
JOB GOAL:                            To work hands-on, alongside students to help build and deliver the school’s Drone course to students in a hands-on and dynamic manner
                                                To provide each student with the help, counsel, and learning experience he needs to make progress toward educational goals
                                                To create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with  students
                                                To motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to live a rewarding life in an ever-changing world
                        
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
2. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
3. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
4. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals. 
5. Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicates these objectives to the students.
6. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.     
7. Evaluates students’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports.
8. Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss student’s progress and interprets the school program.  
9. Identifies pupil needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems.    
10. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
11. Evaluates pupil performance and growth using a variety of formative and summative evaluation tools
12. Collaborates with colleagues to promote an optimal learning environment for pupils.
13. Performs other duties as needed.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:           Ten-month year.  Salary in accordance with certification and placement on the adopted schedule.
 
EVALUATION:                                  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Board of Education policy on the evaluation of teachers.
