TITLE: Media Assistant
SALARY: Starting at $16.65 per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Principal or designee, and the media coordinator
JOB GOAL: To assist the media coordinator in providing and implementing an effective media program for students and staff.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten-month academic year; work schedule determined by the media coordinator and/or principal. Salary in accordance with the adopted schedule.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required; additional and/or training preferred.
- Previous experience working with students is desirable.
- Basic technology skills preferred.
- Such additional qualifications as the School oard may find appropriate and acceptable.

- Responds to the needs and interests of students and staff under the supervision of the media coordinator.
- Helps the media coordinator perform instructional tasks as directed.
- Performs circulation tasks
- Assists staff and students with the proper use of technology.
- Supervises students and volunteers.
- Assists students and staff as needed.
- Performs technical tasks involving ordering, receiving, and processing materials.
- Works with staff to gather appropriate materials for classroom instruction.
- Assists with inventory of materials.
- Shelves materials; keeps materials in order and accessible; and keeps the media center neat.
- Keeps files in order and up-to-date.
- Helps maintain equipment and repairs materials.
- Performs other related duties as required by the media coordinator or principal.
