Position Summary
|
The goal of the Family Services Manager is to provide oversight and implementation of family support services to all families within the program within the standards of the licensing agencies.
|
Essential Duties
|
Program Management / Service Coordination:
Develop and maintain a robust support system of services for enrolled families; developing Family Service Plan for program
Develop, review, and revise policies and procedures related to family and community partnerships, attendance, transition, and other family support functions at least annually and as needed
Develop policies and procedures for child transitions both within and outside of the program (EHS to HS, HS to Elementary) in accordance with program standards
Coordinate family referrals for support needs, develop resource guides for family supports; inclusive of program orientations
Oversee Kindergarten transition process; inclusive of awareness, identification, registration, and enrollment. Collaborate with all stakeholders to develop a community responsive process.
Develop process and procedures for attendance tracking and follow-up within the program
Survey families as needed to achieve identified actions
Case Management / Crisis Intervention:
Develop, monitor, document, and update Family Partnership Agreements inclusive of own caseload and supporting FSLs
Complete Family Outcome Assessments twice a year and conduct Family Partnership Reviews with all FSLs twice a year
Ensure that child/family support, crisis intervention and emergency services are provided as needed for all families in the program who identify the need for support
Obtain copies of all domestic violence, custody or other court orders relating to Pre-K students. Ensure that this information is updated and notify appropriate staff
Build standards and consistency for family communication, collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure family needs are met
Mentoring/Modeling:
Supervise and manage the Family Service Liaison (FSL) roles
Mentor FSLs and model best practices
Supervise Social Work interns and mentor their development
Provide staff training on child abuse/neglect, domestic violence and custody orders, mandates, and other topics as they are relevant
Parent Policy Council (PPC):
Oversee Parent Activity Funds and support PPC in their use
Provide attendance and community data for monthly PC meetings
Serve as the program liaison for the Parent Policy Council, promoting participation and attending meetings
Assist in the coordination of parent training and family activities
Other:
Conduct team and other meetings as scheduled or needed
Recruit, screen, interview, hire and train FSLs as needed
Collaborate and build partnerships with community agencies, serve as a liaison with the agencies and facilitate the referral of children and families to these agencies as necessary
Participate in self- and community-assessment process
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education/Experience Requirements
|
Masters in Social Work
School Social Work Certification
Successful experience working with children, and families in a diverse socio-economic setting
Experience in providing administrative and clinical supervision in a direct practice setting
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, bilingual is a plus
|

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
