WHO WE ARE
Chapel Pointe is prayerfully seeking a dynamic full-time Worship Leader for our Worship Arts ministry in a growing and healthy congregation. We are a Christ-centered multi-site church in West Michigan with a community of people, focused on fulfilling our vision to be “Transformed followers of Jesus, Passionately responding to God, Rooted in prayer and the Bible, and Equipping Disciples”. Our leadership team and staff love to serve the church. We take the Word of God seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. The elders provide oversight, vision, and guidance to the church. The Lead Pastor, Joel Wayne, provides the leadership and everyday decision-making for the staff, along with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The ELT includes Joel, several key leaders on staff, and the officers on the elder board.
PURPOSE
The Worship Leader will be responsible for leading and planning worship services at one of our venues or sites, playing a key role in supporting and advancing the overall ministry vision. As part of a collaborative team of worship leaders, they will help foster a unified and dynamic worship culture across all locations. This role also includes the opportunity to focus on developing a culture of worship within student ministries. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, passionate about leading with excellence, and eager to grow in their ministry calling. They will have a heart for ministry in a growing church environment, looking to be poured into, discipled, and equipped for greater leadership.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan the worship services in conjunction with the Worship Team and leadership team, and do so with prayer, conceptual forethought, theological accuracy, and musical appropriateness.
- Serve as primary leader at a site and model the worship central services model, rotating periodically to other locations to ensure a cohesive worship culture across all sites
- Provide technical support and assistance to facilitate production at sites, ensuring consistent and unified direction in all site
- Ensure that all of the musical and technical aspects of the service advance the Kingdom and support the church’s vision and appropriate scriptural themes.
- Coordinate student worship to develop and implement worship leadership and culture within the family team ministry
- Develop worship teams alongside other worship leaders on staff
- Attend staff meetings and key ministry meetings with other departments.
- Oversee and develop volunteers (recruitment, scheduling, rehearsals). Lead midweek band/vocal rehearsals musically and spiritually.
- Provide support at other campus events and special events as needed.
- Support and assist in the overall vision of the ministry.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to lead worship with excellence, both vocally and instrumentally (acoustic guitar preferred)
- Must either have a degree or relevant experience leading worship
