What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Worship Leader position at Cornerstone Church of West Michigan?
PURPOSE:
To help Cornerstone Church achieve its mission to help people know Jesus and make him known by inviting all people to become disciples of Jesus Christ through all aspects of the worship experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall Worship Experience
- Participate in the creative worship process as needed.
- Lead and nurture worship experience at assigned campus, including midweek rehearsal, weekend services, and special events.
- Oversee and nurture weekend worship services as assigned by the Worship Arts Director.
- Assist with auditions, special training, volunteer recruitment and encouragement of volunteer teams.
Music
- Ensure the development of campus vocalists and musicians.
- Work with Worship Leader Team to approve and maintain a Cornerstone playlist of music consistent from campus to campus, which aligns with Cornerstone DNA.
WORK WITH INTERNAL/EXTERNAL PARTNERS
- Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings
- Participate in regular campus specific leadership team meetings

- Ability to work as a team player supporting and encouraging staff and lay leadership
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think creatively and innovate methods and programs to enhance worship
- Assess performance of volunteers and provide timely feedback
- Ability, confidence, and presence in speaking/performing in front audiences
- Familiarity and experience with contemporary worship music
- Proficiency in voice, and music direction

EDUCATION
- Undergraduate degree or commensurate experience preferred in Music, Performance Arts, or related field.
Salary : $17 - $18
