What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant position at Chapter 13 Trustee's Office?
Bankruptcy Trustee seeks detail-oriented employee to review legal pleadings and create worksheets for court hearings. This position requires the unique ability to pay close attention to details and understand the legal pleadings filed in a bankruptcy case. You will enter data into our database and prepare notes for the Trustee and Staff Attorney to use for court hearings. The ability to evaluate data and summarize it effectively is critical. It will be necessary to communicate well in writing and orally with the attorneys whose work you support. You must have a college degree and some office experience.
You will be required to work in the office in Downtown Charlottesville; however, after a 90-day training period, you may be eligible to work remotely for part of the week.
This is a part-time position for approximately 25 hours each week.
