Job Description

· Take and process guests’ orders accurately, in an timely fashion

· Memorize Food, Drink and Dessert menu for on-demand recitation

· Up-sell desserts and drinks as appropriate for individual guests and parties

· Manage large groups quickly and efficiently through attentive service and precise order taking

· Maintain a fine dining atmosphere and handle guest complaints/requests quickly

· Prepare dining tables by arranging condiments, kitchenware and decorations

· Help patrons select dishes by answering questions about foods and drinks, describing house specialties and identifying appropriate drink pairings

· Take orders to kitchen staff and notify them of any special requests or dietary needs

· Deliver food to guests in a timely manner and attend to the needs of guests throughout the dining process, professionally anticipating guests needs.

· Issue bills and obtain payment

Skills

· 2 years Server experience

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Excellent customer service and hospitality skills

· At least one positive reference from previous employer (hospitality industry preferable)

· Neat, well-groomed appearance

· Ability to work well under intense time pressure

· Excellent emotional control in fast-paced environments

· Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts

· Excellent verbal communication skills

· General math skills

· Great customer service and conflict-resolution skills, and a commitment to professionalism

· Must possess or obtain all licenses and certificates required by the local health department and Alcoholic Beverage Commission

· Ability to work on your feet for hours at a time

· Excellent teamwork ability

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $5.00 - $10.00 per hour
