What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Supervisor position at Charcuterie Artisans?
*Please note this is a 2nd shift position. The hours are 2:30pm-11pm*
As the Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of non-exempt employees at Charcuterie, Inc. This includes planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area to achieve performance goals and metrics within the distribution center. Additionally, as the Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping of store orders. You are also responsible for maintaining a high level of productivity and quality.
- Coordinating with shipping companies, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of products.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Maintaining accurate shipping documentation.
- Maintaining current and accurate KPIs daily.
- Providing ongoing training and retraining of employees, ensuring safety compliance, and providing customer support.
- Utilizing a variety of reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the workday.
- Communicate effectively across all levels.
- Analyzing information effectively to make sound business decisions.
- Build high performance teams while engaging and inspiring colleagues.
- Ensuring robotic system is always working correctly (including all conveyors and TGVs) Supervision of 3rd Shift Tecno Systems operator.
- Ensuring employees have the necessary equipment, materials, and documents to ensure successful completion of tasks.
- Monitoring and adjusting resources to achieve the daily finished goods production and delivery goals.
- Balancing workloads by taking readings throughout the day to achieve the appropriate level of volume by the projected time of completion.
- Monitoring the work performance of each employee to ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded.
- Conduct staff meetings and verify that daily worksheets are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis.
- Experience using MS Office
- Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a distribution environment.
- 5 years of experience with forklift, scissor lift, and pallet jack.
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
