What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Connexion Systems and Engineering, Inc.?
Shipping/Assembly
- Read and understand product drawings, work order instructions, product traceability and process instructions to understand customer specifications for assembly and testing of components
- Responsible for following all process instructions per training and instruction by Manager and/or Department Lead
- Verifying components for count, quantity and revision
- Pick/pull finished product from several stock locations and stage product for quality inspection
- Sets up and operates the laser mark machine, following the part marking instructions. Understands product drawings and its relationship to laser marking the product.
- Assembles quality components manually that meet customer specifications and deadlines
- Completes carbons soak operation
- Performs product testing, such as pressure or vacuum. Submits test report to quality inspection
- Clean, label, and package components per product specifications and work order instructions
- Seals products using various heat-sealing machines
- Performs final packaging of all outgoing customer orders in accordance with customer specifications and instructions
- Prepares in-process products to be shipped for an outside service
- Ensures own production conforms to requirements of quality and the production schedule
