The ideal candidate will have experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and project management. This role will report to the Chief of Staff / Head of Strategic Initiatives and will support our team remotely to ensure that our HR practices are efficient and aligned with our business objectives.

What You Will Do
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process
- Oversee benefits administration through Zenefits by Trinet, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Act as the main point of contact for employee benefits inquiries
Address employee concerns and issues, providing guidance and support as needed
Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain and update employee records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
- Assist with payroll processing through Zenefits by Trinet, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures
- Conduct training sessions on company policies, procedures, and best practices
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans
- Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on performance-related issues
- Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality standards and assessing risks
- Report project outcomes and / or risks to management and escalate issues as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role or similar position
- Proficiency with HR systems, particularly Zenefits by Trinet
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Experience managing multiple projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
