We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Administrator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage and execute day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This role requires proficiency in accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable: Process and manage vendor invoices, including verifying accuracy, obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring timely payments. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable: Generate and send out customer invoices, track outstanding payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and manage collections as needed.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports and statements. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Expense Tracking: Monitor and record business expenses, ensuring they are accurately categorized and comply with company policies. Reconcile expense reports and manage employee reimbursements.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
Record Keeping: Maintain and organize accounting records, including invoices, receipts, and financial documents. Ensure records are up-to-date and easily accessible for audits and reviews.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations. Assist in preparing documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the finance team, including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and managing correspondence.
Payroll Processing: Administer and process the company’s payroll on a weekly basis. Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and overtime.
Inventory Management: Maintain and organize inventory records. Ensure inventory data is up-to-date and easily accessible for sales and logistics planning.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related administrative role. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Intacct or similar) is required.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
