Screed Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy equipment and machinery, particularly in the construction and concrete industries. This role involves working with various equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations on job sites, contributing to the successful completion of projects.

Duties

• Operate concrete mixers and other heavy machinery to facilitate construction tasks.
• Perform mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment as needed.
• Drive commercial vehicles to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Execute concrete forming, paving, digging, and building tasks as directed by project supervisors.
• Operate loaders and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.

Requirements

• Proven experience in operating heavy equipment, including concrete mixers and loaders.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery.
• Valid commercial driving license is preferred for transporting materials.
• Familiarity with concrete forming techniques and paving processes is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, and building structures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
• Commitment to safety practices and procedures on job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.48 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
