JOB DESCRIPTION : Model best practices while working with a team of child care providers in a mixed-age group (2-5 year olds), implementing small group lessons for two-five year olds, and mentor high school students enrolled in the Child Development Professions CTE Program in a licensed childcare program.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Two years of experience working as a lead teacher primarily with preschoolers in a licensed child care center
- Meets Lead Teacher qualifications from MSDE
- Must hold CURRENT MSDE Office of Child Care Personal Qualification Evaluation
- Associate or higher degree or CDA preferred

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The environmental factors and / or physical requirements of this position include the following : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
