Salary Range: $16.00 - $22.00
Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Transportation Driver is responsible for meeting transportation needs of CDHC.
POSITION-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Abide by all state and local driving laws
- Transport patients, clients, and participants to and from various pre-approved locations
- Pick up and deliver mail to included interoffice mail from CDHC locations and US post office
- Delivering medications and labs to appropriate locations
- Pick up and deliver to the appropriate locations the following: medications, labs, soiled lab coats X-Rays,
- Transport supplies between CDHC locations as needed
- Confirm and print daily route schedule
- Update vehicle registration and insurance as needed
- Ensure HIPAA compliance when dealing with or transporting protected health information
- Ensure safety compliance regarding seatbelt use and car seat use
- Complete daily pre-trip inspection and checklist of assigned vehicle
- Ensure vehicles are well kept and clean internal and external
- On light transportation days, assist as needed with light maintenance or other tasks as determined by the Supervisor
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Licensure: Valid Driver’s License, CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Experience: Satisfactory driving record; At least 3 years passenger transport preferred; CDL Preferred
- Language: English
- Hours of Work: 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Travel: Local
