Position Summary
1. Drive customer acquisition and sales growth in the water and wastewater industry
2. Develop and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships
3. Manage complex sales processes from initial contact through project completion
Responsibilities
1. Sales Development and Customer Engagement
a. Actively pursue sales opportunities daily
b. Generate interest in product lines through targeted outreach
c. Qualify prospects and close sales
d. Make and receive multiple customer calls per day
e. Understand and communicate product line details accurately
f. Develop engineered solutions tailored to customer needs
2. Project Management and Documentation
a. Create and assemble detailed estimates and proposals
b. Write purchase orders for equipment and materials
c. Prepare comprehensive submittal packages for engineer approval
d. Track submittal status with vendors and customers
e. Coordinate equipment and material deliveries
f. Assemble complete startup, O&M, and project closeout documentation
3. Technical Engagement
a. Read and interpret complex drawings, specifications, and contract documents
b. Identify and develop sales opportunities through technical understanding
c. Visit jobsites to ensure accurate product delivery and customer satisfaction
d. Conduct periodic sales visits with engineers and end-user customers
4. Industry Engagement
a. Attend trade shows and job fairs
b. Conduct lunch and learn sessions
c. Meet with manufacturers on sales opportunities
Qualifications
1. Minimum Requirements:
a. Associates Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
i. Adequate experience record in lieu of degree may be considered
b. AutoCAD, Microsoft OS and PM Software experience
c. Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and project specifications
d. Work experience in water and wastewater pump and piping systems preferred
