Schwab’s Transformation Management Office (TMO) is a team that accelerates large, cross-enterprise transformation across the firm. This organization partners closely with teams across Schwab to support all facets of transformation, from helping build transformation strategies and plans, identifying and prioritizing opportunities, strengthening effectiveness of delivery, improving connectivity throughout the organization, and driving behavioral change and adoption.
The TMO is seeking a Director of Business Transformation (individual contributor). This role will develop cross enterprise strategic perspectives with several different business organizations to progress firm-wide strategic priorities, lead transformation program management efforts to effectively engage a diverse set of stakeholders across the firm. In addition, this role will lead one or more transformation initiative in partnership with teams across the firm focused on cross-functional capabilities that drive greater scale and efficiency while improving the client experience.

In addition, this role will lead one or more transformation initiative in partnership with teams across the firm focused on cross-functional capabilities that drive greater scale and efficiency while improving the client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with TMO team members and key business stakeholders to drive transformation efforts from beginning to end (e.g., defining strategy, designing plans, and facilitating handoffs)
- Lead transformation strategy, planning, and road mapping efforts, including quickly activating stakeholders and initiating bodies of work
- Improve connectivity with other parts of the firm through applying a cross-enterprise lens and facilitating cross-firm discussions
- Support implementation and execution of transformation work, which includes adapting plans as needed and proactively managing risks and issues
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, amplify engagement, and ensure needs are met throughout the transformation efforts (e.g., ensuring alignment with the vision, sustaining a sense of excitement and enthusiasm, ensuring field readiness, etc.)
- Support the broader portfolio of TMO initiatives by providing surge support where needed
- Help strengthen Schwab’s overall “transformation muscle” by regularly contributing to transformation best practices and supporting broader transformation communications
Required
- 10 years of strategy and consultative work across organizations in a large enterprise environment
- Ability to develop high-level strategies and translate into actionable plans while aligning diverse teams
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence senior leaders, peers, and teams across different functions
- Experience developing and implementing transformation strategies, plans, and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and goals
- Ability to craft compelling narratives for senior executives and diverse audiences
- Strong executive presence, including demonstrated oral, written, and visual communications skills
- Strong preference towards financial services experience
