Charleston-AMG Specialty Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Quality Director (RN). The Quality Director is a qualified individual with knowledge of CDC guidelines and definitions of healthcare associated infections (HAIs), federal and state regulations. He/She is responsible for the identification, investigation, reporting, prevention and control of healthcare associated infections (HAIs) among patients and personnel. By authority of the Infection Control Committee, she/he may institute collection of cultures and initiate appropriate isolation precautions. She/He is responsible for assisting with in-service programs related to infection prevention and control. Concerning Employee Health, he/she is responsible for attending to all employee work related injuries and recommending appropriate action, as well as communicating with the risk manager any trends in the workplace. He/she is also responsible for pre-employment medical screening tests, as well as annual recurring screens. Also, he/she serves as a liaison to the worker’s compensation carrier for our facility. He/she is responsible for development and implementation of the hospital’s Utilization Review plan. Hospital Quality Control experience is preferred.

Job Requirements

• Registered Nurse License in good standing in the state of South Carolina
• Quality Control experience preferred.
• Member of the Association of Practitioners of Infection Control and Epidemiology.

• Working knowledge of microbiology, Epidemiology, infectious diseases, aseptic techniques and current practices.

• Current BLS Certification.
