Responsibilities
- Opening and Closing out daily
- Maintaining a clean lobby and reception area
- Ability to use a computer adequately
- Receive a high volume of inbound calls
- Responding to emails
- Checking in and out multiple clients
- Handling of electronic medical records
- Identify the reason for the customer’s call, collect relevant information, and provide solutions
- Making appointment reservations
- Preparing medications and printing drug labels
- Refer to premade scripts for a variety of customer service topics
- Use best practices in customer service techniques to develop rapport and build relationships with customers
- Accurate documentation and communication of all client interactions
- Attend trainings to maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge
- General knowledge of veterinary medication and treatments
- Able to lift 60 lbs
- Ability to perform their duties while maintaining their composure during emotional/stressful situations.
- Patience, compassion, and a POSITIVE attitude are expected.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Applicants must have at least 6 months to 1 year prior experience in a veterinary hospital.
- Comfortable using computers and customer management software
- Excellent phone and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of active listening techniques
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize projects and manage time effectively
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Previous experience with Avimark veterinary software is a plus.

- Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, 1 full day off in the work week.
- 10.5 hour shift with a 1 hour lunch break
- Holidays / Weekends as needed
