The Charleston Battery is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the Stadium Operations and Events department. - Plan, schedule, and oversee stadium events, including sporting events, concerts, corporate gatherings, and community activities.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and service providers to define event requirements and expectations.
- Manage event setup and teardown, ensuring adherence to event timelines and standards.
Facility Operations:
- Ensure the stadium is event-ready by coordinating maintenance, cleaning, and facility upgrades.
- Conduct pre-event inspections to confirm compliance with safety, security, and operational standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory of operational supplies and equipment.
Staff Supervision:
- Coordinate with staff and vendors responsible for concessions, ticketing, security, and guest services.
- Schedule and supervise part-time and event-day staff, ensuring proper training and preparedness.
- Serve as point of contact for on-site operational staff during events.
- Hire and Train staff for all gameday departments.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and fire codes.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and coordinate with security personnel during events.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to identify safety or operational improvements.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage event budgets, tracking costs, and ensuring financial accountability.
- Create detailed event summaries, reports, and analyses to improve future operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and ownership.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in stadium operations, event planning, or a related role.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with crowd management, event logistics, and safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Capacity to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods during events
