Summer Camp Teacher Position
Mondays to Fridays, full days or half days, either in the mornings or afternoons - Flexible
Camp starts June 9th and ends August 1st with the week of June 30th closed
Charleston Collegiate School is an independent day school that strives to recognize, nurture, and challenge each of its students. CCS prides itself on being an independent, co-educational, non-sectarian, PreSchool through 12th grade school, nestled on a beautiful 30-acre campus located on Johns Island.
The Summer Camp Teacher should possess:
- Experience working with children
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Leadership experience and enthusiasm for working with children
- First aid and CPR certification (preferred but not required)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead classes and execute engaging plans and activities that promote creativity, teamwork, and learning among campers.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by monitoring their activities and providing guidance and support as needed.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages campers to express themselves and participate actively.
- Work collaboratively with other camp staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Help with the setup and cleanup of activities, manage supplies, and ensure that all areas are kept clean and organized.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe environment for all campers.
