Internship Description:
Our Club Management Rotational Internship provides a hands-on experience, through multiple departments to provide a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the private club industry. Our program is customized to meet the needs and interests of the individual to best prepare them for a career in clubs.
Internship Functions:
Interns should expect to experience all aspects of Club operations, front line roles through team leadership and operations as indicated through their personal goals. Programming includes:
- Department rotations in food and beverage, culinary, golf, tennis, agronomy, communications, and more
- Weekly Meetings
- CMAA Educations
- Area Club Tours & Networking
- Leadership Development and Education
- Access to Leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned
Hours/Duration of Internship
The Club Management Internship opportunity is a seasonal, non-exempt position. This internship starts mid-May and is expected to continue through early August. Option for continued employment after the internship ends can be discussed with the Assistant Clubhouse Manager, based on business needs, performance, and open position requirements.
Our Clubhouse Team members generally work five days a week, Monday through Sunday, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for operations. The weekly work schedule is subject to change based on club events and operational needs. Availability on evenings, holidays, and weekends is expected of all staff. Must be available 32-40 hours a week.
Internship Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a 4-year Hospitality Program
- Exceptional communication skills
- Detail oriented, honest, respectful, dedicated, caring, positive, and enthusiastic
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-end, professional environment
- Desire to make memorable member experiences
Physical Requirements
- Perform physical demands of the job including lifting up to 35 lbs is required
- Ability to climb stairs frequently, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to work and tolerate all seasonal weather conditions
