As of July 2021, the prerequisites for consideration in the
general administrative pool are:
1. Completion of a Master’s Degree
2. Certification in Educational Leadership from the Florida Department of Education
3. 5 years of Teaching Experience
4. Three Letters of Recommendation (including one from Current Supervisor)
5. Writing Sample Response

Qualifications:
- Holds a Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Holds Florida certification in Educational Leadership, School Principal, or Administration and Supervision (including appropriate grade level coverage for advertised vacancy).
- Has five (5) years of teaching experience at appropriate level.
- Has prior school-based administrative experience (preferred but not required).
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school.
- Serves as interim principal in the absence of the principal.
- Assists in scheduling of classes and extra-curricular activities.
- Coordinate and/or assists in the preparation of studentschedules.
- Works with department heads and/or staff in compiling the annual budget requests.
- Evaluates staff as requested.
- Collaborates with administration and staff in writing, implementing and monitoring the school-based Student Learning Plan.
- Assists the principal in implementing and monitoring the curriculum.
- Coordinates supplies, textbooks, and equipment, conducting inventories, maintaining records, and checking on receipts for such materials.
- Cooperates in the conducting of safety inspections and safety drill practice activities.
- Coordinates and/or assists with transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services.
- Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, and deals with special cases as necessary.
- Serves with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.
- Performs such record-keeping and follow-up functions as the principal may direct.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may from time to time assign.
