What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sports Turf Field Operations Associate position at Charlotte Knights?
Job Description : The Charlotte Knights, AAA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox are seeking qualified and motivated applicants for their 2025 Field Operations Associate Program. Employment runs from February 15, 2025, through September 30, 2025. Applicants should be able to work well with others. Applicants must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, work nights and weekends, and potentially work in adverse weather conditions.
This program is designed to provide experience and assist individuals in the advancement of their career in professional baseball while assisting the Turf Management Department with field maintenance duties associated with professional baseball. This position is ideal for recent graduates or those currently enrolled in a turf management educational program, though not required.
General Duties :
- Include but are not limited to mowing, fertilizing, mound and plate construction and maintenance, infield skin maintenance, aerating, topdressing, veriticutting, assisting in scheduling and managing gameday staff in conjunction with both Director and Manager of Field Operations.
