Description
Charlotte Latin's Facilities Department is currently looking for summer help to assist in custodial and maintenance areas. Work begins as early as mid-May and continues through mid-August. Hours range from 25-30 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Maintenance and Custodial

Dusting of pictures and artwork
-
Sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming, wiping of horizontal surfaces

Replenishing supplies
-
Detail cleaning, scrubbing
-
Wiping of walls, window sills, ledges, doors and door frames
-
Emptying wastebaskets, wiping interior and exterior of wastebaskets, trash and recycling removal, transporting trash and waste to disposal areas

Inspecting areas for safety concerns
-
Machine cleaning, buffing, stripping and refinishing
-
Carpet extraction and bonnet cleaning
-
Assisting with HVAC maintenance and repair

Alerting Supervisor of immediately needed repairs or supplies

Individual will be required to assist the Special Events group with event set-up and breakdown on a regular basis

Ability to operate hand tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair work.

Working Conditions and Environment
- Intermittently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
- Continuously see, sit, balance, grasp, and have repetitive use of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers; and some fine finger dexterity.
- Frequently talk and hear.
- Intermittently stand, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, crawl, walk, climb stairs, step stools and ladders, operate foot and hand controls, squeeze, and reach above shoulders.
- Exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, flammables, grease, dirt, stacked materials, electrical equipment, machinery, low to medium noise levels, and moderate indoor temperatures of heat and cold.
- Long or odd hours, as needed.
- Individuals must also be able to safely operate a golf cart.
