The federal programs coordinator, under general supervision, assists with the planning, budgeting, and implementation of programs that utilize federal funds such as Title I, II, & IV funds. Employee coordinates federal compliance documentation, budget updates, progress reporting, documentation creation, distribution lists, and collection of evidence of impact. Employee performs professional level work to carry out the Board of Education policies and procedures related to assigned federal programs.

Essential Functions
- Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures
- Support departments/schools in budgeting initiative planning, and goal progress
- Provide timely updates on budgets and initiative implementation
- Provide on-site support to schools and departments as needed
- Monitor initiative timelines and budgets to ensure goals are met
- Collect and organize fiscal and programmatic documentation from departments/schools
- Support updating all resources materials for the Federal Programs department, including internal and external websites
- Prepare and organize materials and all resources necessary for site-specific training
- Develop newsletters, videos, and webinars to communicate with CMS departments
- Track and measure team performance targets, utilizing tracking tools to ensure all the goals, strategies and objectives of the Federal Programs Department and CMS Strategic Plan are met
- Perform related duties as required
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of public schools
- Knowledge of school board and administrator objectives, procedures, and organization
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local policies/regulations regarding federal programming and Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Title Programs
- Knowledge of county and school board policies, procedures, and standards
- Knowledge of and experience with federal grant administration policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain professional and emotional control under stress

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree and/or minimum of three (3) years of related experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license or ability to provide own transportation
- Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings
