The New Iberia facility specializes in cold box assembly and fabrication, pressure vessels and other cryogenic equipment as used for the air separation and hydrocarbon industries.The end users of this equipment include all the major LNG, petrochemical and air separation engineering on a worldwide basis. The facility is located at the Port of Iberia
Monitors the company's safety standards in accordance with OSHA and state regulations. Inspects machines and equipment for accident prevention devices.
Assists with testing and servicing safety equipment and systems.
Observes workers and evaluates job activities to determine use of prescribed safety equipment such as glasses, helmets, goggles, respirators, clothing, harnesses, and other equipment.
Implements administrative or engineering controls to abate or minimize safety hazards. Inspects specified areas for fire prevention equipment and other safety and first-aid supplies.
Tests working areas for noise, toxic, and other hazards.
Prepares report of findings with recommendations for corrective action.
Investigates causes of accidents to identify preventive safety measures for incorporation into the safety program.
Maintains programs and record keeping systems that track and evaluate personnel injuries. Conducts trend analysis, audits, accident investigations, and site inspections of operational procedures, facility design, equipment, and materials.
Train all employees according to OSHA / DEQ / EPA according to facility activities.
Manages ISO 14001 Environmental Program & OHSAS 18001 - ISO 45001 Safety Program.
Conduct environmental inspections and environmental training.
Monitor contractor safety performance and training.
Manage Workers Compensation and Return to Duty Programs.
Conduct new hire orientations and training.
Minimal travel is required.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or seven to ten years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
May be to work at elevated heights up to 75ft
Candidates should have prior safety experience in a manufacturing / industrial setting
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
