HSE Manager
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team at Chart Industries' New Iberia facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's safety standards are met in accordance with OSHA and state regulations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Monitor and enforce safety standards across the facility
- Inspect equipment and machinery for accident prevention devices
- Assist with testing and servicing of safety equipment and systems
- Evaluate job activities to determine use of prescribed safety equipment
- Implement administrative or engineering controls to minimize safety hazards
**Environmental Responsibilities:**
- Manage ISO 14001 Environmental Program
- Conduct environmental inspections and training
**Safety Responsibilities:**
- Manage OHSAS 18001 - ISO 45001 Safety Program
- Investigate causes of accidents to identify preventive safety measures
- Maintain programs and record keeping systems for personnel injuries
**Training and Development:**
- Train all employees according to OSHA/DEQ/EPA regulations
- Conduct new hire orientations and training
**Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior safety experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
**Work Environment:
- May require work at elevated heights up to 75ft
