**Job Overview**
The Maintenance Shift Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, building, and grounds. This includes purchasing related materials and services, making ongoing recommendations for optimal maintenance, and performing supervisory tasks to ensure quality and efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain the flow of materials and components to ensure parts are available for production equipment through adequate inventory.
- Investigate problems with production equipment and recommend corrective action.
- Purchase related materials and services as needed.
- Recommend new equipment or processes to improve production efficiency.
- Educate employees on equipment and safety procedures.
- Analyze plant layout and facilitate movement of equipment.
- Prepare reports for management as required.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience of a maintenance team.
- Thorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field, such as maintenance technology.
- Understanding of machine repair/rebuild, hydraulic, welding, fabricating & pipe fitting skills.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources and report findings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
