Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for using multiple types of lifting equipment to move materials throughout the plant and warehouse. The position also ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed and staging finished product final distribution.
Essential Job Functions - Material Handler
· Drive forklift to move raw materials throughout the plant.
· Follows all safety procedures while operating equipment
· Maintain an organized production area for the operators and assistants by appropriately placing product where it belongs
· Prepare for shipment by pulling, packing, loading and securing products
· Keep pallets in an orderly manner in the warehouse
· Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
· HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
· Must be able to problem solve
· Must be able to think logically and respond to inquiries on the fly
ADA Requirements
· Must be able to regularly lift up to 40 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs
· Must be able to team lift up to 108 lbs.
· Must be able to bend, reach, twist, stoop, crawl and crouch regularly in order to perform various job duties
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
