POSITION OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Generalist supports tactical and strategic initiatives with a focus on benefits administration, compliance, training, and employee relations. The Human Resources Generalist contributes to creating a best-in-class employee experience that aligns with Charter Research’s mission and values.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance, talent development, and compliance.
- Support supervisors in all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, coaching, development, and performance management.
- Provide guidance and interpretation to employees and supervisors on company policies, procedures, and benefit offerings.
- Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and investigate complaints, referring complex and / or sensitive matters to the Human Resources Director, as appropriate.
- Identify training opportunities, coordinate training programs, and deliver employee development initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Process employee changes in HRIS system, maintain electronic employee files and organizational chart, and produce routine reports to include headcount, new hires, attrition, etc.
- Provide support and assistance with recruiting, interviewing, and the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, as needed.
- Partner with talent acquisition team to conduct new employee onboarding and orientation sessions to introduce new hires to our organization’s structure and mission, fostering a sense of connection from day one.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate employee engagement programs, activities, and events with human resources team.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
