As a Curriculum Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing CRT's and curriculum implementation while providing curriculum training and support to teachers. Position conducts ongoing staff development, performs periodic classroom visitations, collects, and reports quarterly student data, and monitors curriculum and tutoring programs.

Instruction/Education Responsibilities

  • Accurately demonstrate knowledge of the content area and approved curriculum.
  • Appropriately utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources for each area taught.
  • Communicate with and obtain feedback from students in a manner that enhances student learning and understanding.
  • Comprehend the principles of student growth, development, and learning, and apply them appropriately.
  • Manage the educational setting in a manner that promotes positive student behavior and a safe and healthy environment.
  • Recognize student diversity and create an atmosphere conducive to the promotion of positive student involvement and self-concept.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to examine and implement change, as appropriate.
  • Work productively with colleagues, parents, and community members.
  • Meet professionalism requirements and responsibilities.
  • Comply with Code of Ethics of the Education Profession Standards of Professional Conduct.
  • Collaborate with individual teachers and CRT through co-planning, co-teaching, and coaching.
  • Assist administrative and instructional staff in interpreting data and designing approaches to improve student achievement and instruction.
  • Ensure that the school curriculum is aligned with state and national standards. Promote teachers' delivery and understanding of the school curriculum through collaborative long-range and short-range planning.
  • Promote teachers' use of successful, research-based instructional strategies, including differentiated instruction for diverse learners such as those with limited English proficiency or disabilities.
  • Work with parent/guardians and community leaders to foster home/school/community partnerships focused on students' learning.
  • Collaborate with administrators to provide leadership and vision for a school-wide academic program.
  • Participate in and facilitate on-going annual professional development trainings to enhance job efficacy through increased content knowledge, understanding of pedagogy models, inter-personal skills development, and curricular materials knowledge as well as for testing and grading.
  • Design and implement appropriate intervention strategies for struggling students.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports student testing and data.
  • Initiates and maintains effective liaisons with district and professional associations to maintain a current knowledge of state and district testing requirements.
  • Administer and analyze reading and/or math diagnostic and progress monitoring assessments.
  • Works with teachers, parents, and students to provide individual learning plans and educational and academic support.

  • Ability to consistently be at work, be on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS) and email communications.
  • Look for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Consistently strives to implement best practices and positive character education.
  • Detailed knowledge of Federal, State, and local requirements for K-12 schools and charter school law.
